But having sat in the traffic jam for hours as I tried to navigate a route from San Anselmo to Oakland, I considered what other crises, mental or physical, could have resulted from the gridlock. Emergency vehicles unable to get through, a woman in labor, with complications, road rage with someone carrying a gun in the car … please plan ahead. Have a plan to prevent the gridlock that blocked every road that night.I’m glad the person in distress was saved. I just hope the person can get a mental health appointment.Penny RighthandOakland988 observes yearof helping in crisesJuly 16 marks one year since our nation transitioned to 988, the easy-to-remember, nationwide mental health...Brentwood woman arrested after husband found stabbed to death

Steinke also said she did not notice the tracks or the ground when she squatted down to arrest a kneeling Yareni Rios-Gonzalez after the suspect was ordered out of her pickup truck. The tracks and railroad crossing signs can be seen in her body camera video from the Sept. 16, 2022, incident. When pressed by Deputy District Attorney Christopher Jewkes, Steinke replied “I am sure I saw the tracks sir, but I did not perceive them.” She explained that she w...Chinese and Russian officials to join North Korean commemorations of Korean War armistice
