Warm sunshine ahead of late weekend weather-maker AUSTIN (KXAN) -- This week's weather is why we put up with 80 days of triple digit heat in the summer - mild, sunny & just downright perfect.Today and tomorrow will look alike with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures (mid-70s), light winds and low humidity.On Friday, our first of two cold fronts blows in... but with little fanfare. Breezy winds and slightly cooler temperatures will follow the front, but no rain expected.The next storm system approaches the West Coast that same day, but doesn't start to affect our weather until Sunday. Clouds increase late in the weekend with a few showers possible Sunday, then we expect cloudy skies with a higher chance of rain and thunderstorms on Monday.At the moment, only light rainfall is expected.Early look at rainfall projections Sunday through TuesdayA cold front on the backside of that storm system is expected to bring colder, windy weather next Tuesday. SP: Schenectady man tried to sexually exploit teen SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man was arrested on Tuesday, November 7, and is accused of trying to meet a 14-year-old for sexual exploitation. Joseph Leverett faces multiple charges. State Police investigators, along with the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Leverett following an investigation. According to state police, the investigation found Leverett made arrangements and traveled to a pre-determined location in Colonie to meet what he believed to be a 14-year-old to sexually exploit them.Charges:Second-degree attempted rapeSecond-degree attempted criminal sex actSecond-degree attempted patronizing a person for prostitutionLeverett was arrested and processed at Latham State Police. He was issued an appearance ticket to return at the Colonie Town Court on November 29 and was released.

Officers injured in crash on Goodfellow Blvd. involving stolen car in Florissant ST. LOUIS - A brief police chase ends with a stolen car crashing head-on into a St. Louis City police unit, sending two officers to the hospital.  Authorities told FOX 2 that, fortunately, those two officers have already been treated and released from the hospital, and they are expected to be okay. There were four people inside the stolen car. The police revealed that they are all in custody Wednesday morning.The stolen car winding up flipped over. The police unit has significant front-end damage. This was just after 9:30 p.m. Officers shared that a gray Chrysler was stolen out of Florissant.Investigators said that city officers tried to stop the car earlier Tuesday night, but the car took off. Later in the night, authorities shared that a police helicopter spotted the car and notified officers on the ground. That's when police used spike strips to try and stop the vehicle.
